Santali language Journal

The Department of Santali of the University of Burdwan, is going to publish or edit a Departmental journal. The title of the journal is the Journal of Santali Literature is a non-profit, peer-reviewed, half-yearly published, open access online journal with a strong Editorial Board. JSL will start to encourage the research on Santali Language, Literature and Culture fields. This Journal aims to publish the original research work in the various subject related to arts and humanities category. The articles such as full length research paper, review articles, short communications, case reports, and book reviews that contribute significantly to enhance the scientific knowledge on Santali Language, Literature and Culture as well as tribal related articles will publish. Articles will publish in bi-lingual in English language or Santali language Ol-chiki Script. The Manuscript should contain normally 2000 to 50000 words including figures and tables etc. The matter should be typed in double-space or printed in 12-point font on 8.5xll”(A-4) size papers with 1.5 inch main on all four sides. Submission of Articles

The articles such as full length research paper, review articles, short communications, case reports, and book reviews that contribute significantly to enhance the scientific knowledge on Santali Language, Literature and Culture as well as tribal related articles will publish. Following guidelines should be strictly followed for the preparation of articles:

  1. Language:Santali Ol-chiki Script and English.
  2. Script:Santali Ol-chiki Script or  English Times New Roman.
  3. Title:Title will be written in English (Times New Roman, Font Size-12, Bold) or Santali (Unicode Ol-Chiki/ Olchiki-Old, Font Size-12, Bold, Sentence case), etc.

ABSTRACT: Abstract will be written in English (Times New Roman, Font Size-12) or Santali(Unicode Ol-Chiki/ Olchiki-Old, UPPERCASE, Center, Font Size-12, Bold) Abstract section should be written in Unicode Ol-Chiki/ Olchiki-Old, font size-11, non Bold, italic with justified text in 1.15 of line spacing. There should be no space between paragraphs. If it is a research paper then it should state briefly the purpose of the research, methodology employed and findings of the study. All the information should be summarized in 150 to 200 words.
  2. Keywords: Include four/five Key words will be written in English (Times New Roman, Font Size-11, Non bold, non italic) or Santali(Unicode Ol-Chiki/ Olchiki-Old, Font Size-11, Non bold, non italic)

    i. Hypothesis of the study (if any)
    ii. Main Text of the paper (Research Problem)
    iii. Conclusion lfindings/suggestion.
  5. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: (Unicode Ol-Chiki/ Olchiki-Old, UPPERCASE, Center, Font Size-12, Bold)

  7. REFERENCES: (Unicode Ol-Chiki/ Olchiki-Old, UPPERCASE, Center, Font Size-12, Bold). Authors should follow the latest edition of APA style or other standard pattern of their field in referencing (for listing authors, dates, titles, and publishing information).
  8. Responsibility for the content of articles and possible infringements of copyrights reaming entirely with the author(s) concerned.
